花蓮縣政府舉辦首屆「原住民時尚設計新秀大賞」,獲得普遍的迴響,來自全台各地原住民年輕族群的創作者,他們用熱情與才華,將傳統文化轉化為現代時尚,包含學生、老師和家長,都很高興能有這樣一個比賽,讓原住民年輕族民能有機會深入傳統文化,並據此創新創作,讓族群的文化能走向復興。
這次比賽的設定主題是【母語】,學生組冠軍得主董承,以其作品「排灣未來式nu tjaivililj a paiwan」獲得評審團的高度評價。 董承的設計理念源於其排灣族名字「cunuq」,意味著力量與突破。他巧妙地將排灣族傳統服飾的結構與圖騰,通過現代設計語言重新詮釋,展現了文化的深厚底蘊與創新精神。
第二名的達路達娜,以「媽媽Ina」為主題,將太陽的象徵與母親的溫暖結合,創作出充滿愛與力量的作品。 第三名的辛倪則以「撒奇萊雅Sakizaya」為題,透過個人與族群的故事,將族語的重要性與文化的復興融入設計中。
這些作品不僅是時尚創作,更是對原住民文化的一種現代詮釋與傳承。花蓮縣政府堅信,透過這樣的活動,能夠激勵更多原住民青年投身於文化與藝術的創作,同時也讓世界看見台灣原住民文化的獨特與美麗。

Indigenous Fashion Design New Talent Award Encourages Youth to Create with Ethnic Cultures. Let the world see the beauty of Taiwan's indigenous people's fashion.
The Hualien County Government organized the first “Indigenous Fashion Design New Talent Award”, which has gained universal response. Creators from young aboriginal communities all over Taiwan, who use their passion and talent to transform traditional culture into modern fashion, including students, teachers and parents, are very glad to have such a competition, so that young aboriginal people can have the opportunity to delve into traditional culture and innovate accordingly to make the culture of the community able to The theme of the contest is “The Renaissance of the Indigenous Peoples”.
The theme of the competition was “Mother Tongue”, and the winner of the student category, Tung Cheng, was highly praised by the jury for his work “Paiwan Futuristic nu tjaivililj a paiwan”. Tung's design concept originated from his Paiwan name “cunuq”, which means strength and breakthrough. He skillfully reinterpreted the structure and totem of traditional Paiwan clothing through modern design language, demonstrating the deep heritage of the culture and innovative spirit.
With the theme of “Mother Ina”, second-place winner Dalu Dana combined the symbol of the sun with the warmth of motherhood to create a work full of love and strength. The third place winner, Xin Ni, used the theme of “Sakizaya” to incorporate the importance of ethnic language and cultural revitalization into her design through the stories of herself and her ethnic group.
These works are not only fashion creations, but also a modern interpretation and inheritance of aboriginal culture. The Hualien County Government firmly believes that through such activities, more aboriginal youth will be inspired to devote themselves to cultural and artistic creation, and at the same time, let the world see the uniqueness and beauty of Taiwan's aboriginal culture.
Hualien is the most culturally diverse city among Taiwan's aboriginal people, and will continue to organize more similar events in the future to promote cultural exchanges and development, as well as work together to bring aboriginal fashion to the international stage, showcasing its infinite possibilities and charms.
